Our bunk swears we clocked 27.4 seconds around the lower field back in 2019 — anyone got a verified time to beat? I’m coaching this year’s pairs on stride sync and communication, and I’d love a benchmark to push them while keeping it fun.
27.4s is solid — our verified best is 26.6s on a 100m lakeside straight (two watches + video), @OP. We drill a loud ‘1–2’ cadence every step to lock the stride. What’s the actual distance on your lower field?
Building on @alexander29’s cadence point, we hit 26.9s on a 90m loop by double-tying — snug just above the ankles plus a loose backup at mid-calf to kill wobble. We also cue “outside!” off the start so both outside legs hit first, then switch to a tight “1–2” with hips touching (penguin shuffle, but fast). Is your lower field flat or does it have a bend, and which direction?
