We switched to ‘postcards’ icebreaker — quiet kids write first, then share, @Aisha; also staggered cabin showers fixed Lodge pressure. Worth trying?

On the ‘first-night’, we do a silent map-walk: stations with photos of camp spots (including the compost bin celebrity) and a yes/no card; quiet kids move and mark without speaking, then we ask for one word per station. It pulls them in without a big circle share, though you’ll need about 10 minutes to tape up the stations.

@jensmit We’ve had luck on opening night making “runner” lanyards — kids who hang back collect team answer slips and drop them at the front, then we invite one runner to announce the compost-bin bonus after round two. It works best if rounds are under 3 minutes; any longer and they drift.
