We all know how important safety is at camp, but last summer, we had a moment that turned into a comedy show. A group of campers decided to roast marshmallows over a campfire and, instead of a stick, one kid used a plastic fork. Let’s just say it didn’t quite melt in the way he expected! I could hardly keep a straight face, but it reminded me about keeping safety gear handy and always emphasizing supervision to prevent ‘one of those’ moments. Anyone else have better safety fails to share?
