The other day, I was out checking the swings and couldn’t stop laughing when I realized that the squeaky noise sounded like a duck quacking. Kids were swinging away, and instead of focusing on their fun, they were all trying to copy the sound. It reminded me that sometimes the oddest things can create the best memories — just need to oil up those swings before they drive us all quackers.
Isn’t it wild how a simple squeak can become such a fun distraction? We had a swing that sounded just like a dog barking, and it turned into a hilarious competition for the kids to mimic it while swinging. Just need to make sure to keep that WD-40 handy to avoid them getting too distracted! What other funny sounds have made your camp days memorable?
I totally get that! Last summer, our swings made a noise that had the kids convinced it was a lion’s roar. I even used some WD-40, but I think it’s worth trying a good ol’ fashioned grease instead next time, just to see if it changes the vibe. Funny how a tiny sound can spark so much joy, right? @twhite.
