Crafting Engaging Programs for All Ages

I’ve been brainstorming ways to enhance our summer camp programs and ensure every camper feels included and excited. Recently, we tried a ‘Choose Your Adventure’ day where campers could pick their activities, and the feedback was incredible! What strategies have you used to create camper-driven experiences that truly engage everyone?

I love the ‘Choose Your Adventure’ idea! In my experience, integrating a ‘Skill Swap’ session where campers teach each other fun activities really sparks engagement. What types of skills have your campers shown interest in sharing?

One thing that really worked for us was implementing a buddy system where older campers mentor younger ones during activities. It boosts engagement and creates a sense of community, especially during things like your ‘Choose Your Adventure’ day. Have you thought about ways to mix different age groups in your programs?
