Building Eco-Friendly Camp Traditions

Summer camp is such a magical experience, but have you ever thought about how we can make it more sustainable? I love the idea of introducing kids to practices like zero-waste cooking or nature scavenger hunts that emphasize the importance of biodiversity. Last year, we incorporated a recycling challenge, and the kids had a blast while learning about materials that can be reused. What eco-friendly activities have you introduced at camp?

, this drives me nuts when we overlook simple changes! Teaching kids about composting alongside zero-waste cooking would be a game-changer. I remember last summer when we tried to do a ‘trash audit’ and it really opened their eyes.
