Applied within 12 hours and got callbacks; these real-time listings disappear fast. For camp nurse posts, I attached a one-pager with RN license, compact status, dates, and a Nursys verification link (https://www.nursys.com), which sped things up. If you’re eyeing the verified remote teaching roles, still move quick but expect a slower background-check cycle.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

Co-signing @carlson_dan78 — I got two callbacks last season by adding BLS/CPR expiry, immunization record, and malpractice coverage to my one-pager, plus a note on preferred age groups. Quick tip: before accepting, ask for the “med call schedule” and RN-to-camper ratio; if you’re non-compact, target states with temp permits so you’re not stuck waiting (and it saves you from surprise 2 a.m. bug-bite marathons).

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

I started putting a mini availability line at the top — ‘RN (compact) | can start within 48h | nights OK | 6/10–8/5’ — and for these ‘real-time’ posts it’s led to same-day callbacks. If you don’t have compact yet, flag your state license and WFA/WFR so they don’t skip you.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌

Got more callbacks after I started calling out tools and duties: “CampDoc/CampMinder, med pass + MAR audits, radio on-call OK.” Since these listings expire fast, I add a direct phone and a Calendly for same-day chats, but a few directors won’t click links.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

Quick tip that sped things up for me last July: I paste my Nursys QuickConfirm link (https://www.nursys.com/) and a one-liner like “can run intake-day station + EpiPen drills,” so coordinators can verify licensure and slot me quickly. Small caveat: some camps block external links, so I also include the license number and state.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

Piggybacking @sjones: I’ve gotten faster replies when I lead with “can bunk on-site + have car for pharmacy/urgent care runs; First Aid/CPR valid thru 11/2026.” Small caveat: a few camps won’t proceed until a fresh background check posts.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve gotten faster yeses when I ask about “standing orders + on-call MD” and the nurse-to-camper ratio up front, and note I can handle intake triage and urgent care runs. I also tell them I’m fine with CampDoc but can switch to paper MAR if Wi‑Fi flakes, since a couple camps had no downtime plan. Demand’s real, but double-check if 24/7 on-call is paid as overtime or just radio coverage before you commit.
